Several of us had an opportunity to attend San Diego Comic Con on July 24th through 27th. I had spoken briefly with Ryan Robbins, who plays Henry Foss, soon after he found out unexpectedly that he would be able to attend the convention and we made arrangements to meet up for an interview for SanctuaryFans.com on Friday morning. Soon after opening ceremonies began on Thursday morning, I received a call from his publicist Carole Appleby of Karyo Edelman. Something had come up and Ryan wouldn’t be free to talk to us on Friday but he did have time that day to come speak with us. We quickly made arrangements to meet by the Starbucks outside of Ballroom 20 within the hour and I began texting all the Sanctuary fans in attendance to try to get as many together as possible. When I walked over and introduced myself after spotting him in the hallway later, the smile that spread across his face was immediately charming and welcoming as he reached out to shake my hand. As everyone gathered around, he talked easily with us about how excited he was to be there and the things he was looking forward to seeing. He was funny and witty and extremely good natured as we were interrupted not once but twice by convention Security demanding we couldn’t film in the hallway and we needed to move.
